Viv was created by eco-conscious menstruators who knew the way the world approached eco-conscious period care needed an overhaul.
Each traditional pad takes roughly 800 years to break down, a startling fact that sprung the Viv founders into action.
Armed with the knowledge of how harmful period care is on the environment, they made it their mission to place earth-friendly and toxin-free products into the hands of every menstruator.
Katie, Founder & CEO of Viv grew up in Tampa, Florida with a big Egyptian-American family that instilled a deep sense of community & entrepreneurship into her.
After graduating from Boston College with a degree in Marketing and Managing Social Impact, Katie knew her calling was to combine her passion for womxn empowerment and sustainability to build a brand that empowered rather than thrived off of insecurities.
The potent combination of experience in marketing, creative strategy, and nonprofit work inspired Katie to help build this mission-driven brand.
In her free time, when she’s not hard at work, Katie is likely jamming out to Lizzo with oat milk lattes pulsing through her veins. As an avid athlete, she can also be found taking boxing or yoga classes. She’s also a pro on the tennis court, often playing or teaching lessons.
Kelly, Community & Creative Manager, is an Engineer-turned-Designer who grew up as a ballet dancer in Connecticut.
After graduating from Tufts University with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering, she knew she had to find a way to combine her creative energy with her passion for the environment.
As a self-taught graphic and UI designer, she aims to bridge the gap between sustainability and design by creating accessible, user-centric designs for a purpose. With a unique analytical and scientific background, she prioritizes transparent communication and digging deep on environmental impact.
When Kelly’s not working, she’s probably at a dance class, attempting a new home decor DIY, or trying to keep her 50(ish) house plants alive.
