DIY Pantry Facials

Need a little self care that won’t put a dent in your bank account? Pamper yourself with spa quality facials right from the comfort of your home! Whether you have dry skin, oily skin, or just want to put something that smells good on your face we have the perfect facial recipe for you!


PRO TIP: Pre-facial a quick steam will help clear out your skin, and bring out all the benefits of the facial you chose. Simply boil a bowl full of water (you can add some lemon juice or dried herbs if you're feeling fancy) and hover your face over the steam for about 10 minutes. 

Nourishing Green Facial: Perfect for Dry Skin! 

What you’ll need: 
  half of a fresh avocado (make sure to save the other half for a midnight snack)
 1 teaspoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon of honey    

Simply mix the three ingredients until creamy and apply to skin, wash off after 15-20 minutes using warm water. Your skin will feel hydrated and smooth post this amazing green facial. 

 

Sugar Scrub Facial: Perfect for Oily Skin

What you’ll need:
¼ cup of brown sugar
the juice of half a lemon 
 1 tablespoon of honey

Thoroughly mix together until mixture forms a crumbly consistency. Massage into skin scrubbing gently in small circles. Let your facial sit for about 10 minutes and then rinse off using warm water. Use a little of your favorite moisturizer afterwards, and enjoy your fresh skin!


Tinted Lip Scrub

This lip scrub is perfect for those who want to get rid of the dry skin covering their lips without breaking the bank on expensive products. 
All you’ll need:
4 tablespoons of white granulated sugar
1 tablespoon of olive oil
½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
2-3 drops of red food coloring 

Just mix the ingredients until mixture forms a crumbly consistency. Scrub onto lips gently in small circular motions and let sit for 2-3 minutes. Rinse with warm water. This scrub will leave your lips feeling smooth and exfoliated, with a little bit of a rosy hue to boot.
